Los wax technique.
You see here the stages of sculpting in clay, then making a mold to create a wax version, then building a ceramic shell around the wax. The wax will then be melted (/lost) to be replaced by bronze, which will need to be reassembled, repaired, cleaned up, polished before applying patina.
